What we do

Four ways to work with us.

Most engagements start as one of these and grow into another. A build becomes a retainer; a retainer turns into embedded capacity. The pricing is designed so that moving between them is a conversation, not a renegotiation.

01

Custom software builds

Net-new applications and major features, scoped and priced as a project. Full stack — interface, backend and data, integrations, and the cloud it runs on.

  • Discovery first: a written requirements document and technical plan before a line of production code.
  • Deployed to real infrastructure from the first sprint, so "it works on staging" is never the last thing you hear.
  • You own the code, the accounts, and the pipeline. No lock-in to us as a vendor.
02

Ongoing management & support

A monthly engagement covering maintenance, monitoring, incremental feature work, and technical advice for software you already depend on. Our flagship offering.

  • Security and dependency patching on a schedule, not after an incident.
  • Monitoring and alerting we actually watch, with a monthly written health report.
  • A named response time in writing — 48 hours, 24 hours, or same day, depending on tier.
03

Consulting & cloud engineering

Architecture and code reviews, technology selection, roadmap planning, and second opinions — plus the migrations, pipelines, and infrastructure work that usually follows. Fixed fee, in whichever cloud you already run.

  • Architecture and code reviews that end in a prioritized, costed list of what to fix — not a slide deck.
  • Technology and platform selection, including the build-versus-buy answer, before the budget is committed.
  • Roadmaps that turn a business goal into a sequenced technical plan with real estimates behind it.
  • Second opinions and due diligence — on an inherited codebase, a vendor's work, or a proposal you have been handed.
  • And the hands-on work that follows: migrations, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, cost and performance.
04

Embedded engineering

Dedicated weekly capacity inside your team as a senior engineer or acting tech lead — for companies that need the seniority without the headcount.

  • Two or three days a week of dedicated senior capacity inside your team.
  • Sprint participation, code review, architecture ownership, and mentoring your engineers.
  • The seniority of a tech lead without carrying the headcount or the recruiting cycle.
05

How an engagement runs

Discovery → Build → Run
01

Discovery

A short paid engagement — one to two weeks, $1,500 to $3,000 — that produces a requirements document, a technical plan, and a real estimate. Credited toward the project if you proceed.

02

Build

Working software in front of you throughout, not at the end. Deployed to real infrastructure from the first sprint, with the CI/CD and observability built in rather than bolted on.

03

Run

Software is not finished when it ships. A support retainer keeps it patched, monitored, and improving — with the same people who built it.

06

The stack we work in

Yours, not ours
Cloud & infrastructureManaged services, serverless and containers, networking, DNS and certificates — in whichever cloud you already run
APIs & dataService and API design in the style your platform already speaks, event-driven pipelines, relational and document stores
InterfaceModern component frameworks, design systems, and accessibility held to WCAG AA
Testing & qualityAutomated suites that gate the pipeline, integration and load testing before launch, and coverage where it earns its keep rather than everywhere
Monitoring & observabilityMetrics, logs and traces, dashboards worth opening, and alerting tuned to wake someone only when it should
DeliveryInfrastructure as code, CI/CD, release automation, and a rollback path that has been tested

Not sure which of these you need?

That is what discovery is for. Tell us the problem in plain language and we will tell you which engagement actually fits — including when the answer is a smaller one.
